About The Position

The Maintenance Associate is part of the facilities maintenance team and helps maintain the upkeep, appearance, and operational condition of campus buildings. The role performs general maintenance, including replacing light bulbs, patching and touching up paint, inspecting and reporting stains or similar damage that cannot be repaired, and handling other maintenance tasks around campus. The associate also completes special tasks as assigned. The position reports to the Facility Manager in Ashland, Virginia, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule. The salary range is $19–$22 per hour, with the possibility of higher pay depending on skills and experience.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time-management, organizational, and prioritizing skills.
• Proficiency using a computer and email.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with facility maintenance or a background in related trades is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure buildings are maintained, presentable, and in operational condition.
