Maintenance Associate

About The Position

Rural King is seeking a Maintenance Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment. This role supports routine cleaning, basic repairs, safety, and upkeep of the store and surrounding areas. The associate may also support other store activities and provide customer and associate assistance as needed.

Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 30 pounds repetitively and 31–50 pounds intermittently.
Ability to navigate and access all areas of the store and related facilities.
Ability to perform cleaning, maintenance, and physical store-support tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates.
Close vision required for computer-related activities.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the store and surrounding areas, including floors, restrooms, breakrooms, fixtures, displays, parking lots, and exterior areas.
Operate a floor scrubber, empty trash, and restock supplies.
Perform basic maintenance and repairs, such as changing light bulbs, addressing minor plumbing issues, and repairing damaged fixtures.
Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, and malfunctioning equipment.
Assist with unloading trucks, stocking, zoning, and other store activities as needed.
Provide friendly and professional support to customers and associates.
Participate in cross-training and required learning opportunities.
