About The Position

Solterra Senior Living at Chandler is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to maintain and upkeep the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders. The role responds to resident maintenance requests, prepares apartments for move-in, completes general maintenance and repair projects, and helps maintain office, shop, storage, and mechanical areas. The Maintenance Assistant is also expected to know property emergency, safety, and disaster plans and procedures and respond promptly to emergencies.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance role.
• At least 2 years of experience in plumbing, drywall, and electrical work.
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete resident work orders while ensuring quality service and maximum resident satisfaction.
• Perform work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Complete general maintenance projects, including installations and repairs involving plumbing and electrical equipment, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair.
• Perform snow removal and outside landscaping maintenance.
• Know the property's emergency, safety, and disaster plans and procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergencies.
• Maintain office, shop, storage, and mechanical areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
