About The Position

Pyramid Consulting is recruiting a Maintenance Area Supervisor for a 6+ month contract opportunity with long-term potential in Kokomo, Indiana. This onsite role leads skilled trades staff and coordinates maintenance activities in a production environment, with an emphasis on safety, continuous improvement, equipment reliability, and waste reduction. The supervisor works with the Professional Maintenance Specialist as needed and leads improvement initiatives to improve Overall Equipment Efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of industrial automation experience, including project management experience.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
• Excellent organization, written communication, and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interface with employees from hourly workers to senior leadership.
• Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
• Goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field.
• Experience with continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
• Experience leading maintenance teams in a union environment.
• Familiarity with controls, robotics, drives, system-level communication systems, conveyance systems, welding, vision systems, and sensor applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise skilled trades staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate time-based, condition-based, and dynamic maintenance activities.
• Influence performance indicators, including mean time between failure and mean time to repair.
• Address equipment-related issues in a production environment, collaborating with the Professional Maintenance Specialist as needed.
• Drive waste reduction through Autonomous Maintenance, Professional Maintenance, Quality Maintenance, and Focus Improvement methodologies.
• Participate in and lead kaizen projects to improve Overall Equipment Efficiency and identify waste reduction opportunities.
• Coach, mentor, and develop skilled trade employees.
