About The Position

The Maintenance Apprentice supports the upkeep and repair of production equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role works closely with experienced technicians to learn troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment setup. This is an excellent opportunity for someone mechanically inclined who wants to grow their skills in industrial maintenance within a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined; exposure to CNC equipment is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Ability to manage parts and maintenance inventory
• Comfortable with basic computer use for research and tracking
• Ability to obtain forklift certification
• Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of experience in a mechanical or hands-on role

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance (cleaning, greasing, inspections)
• Help set up and calibrate machinery for optimal performance
• Support sourcing and organizing parts for repairs
• Work alongside senior technicians and external contractors as needed
• Participate in cross-training across departments
• Help maintain production flow by supporting other roles when necessary
• Attend team meetings and contribute to a collaborative environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
