About The Position

Cintas is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice for a training position under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. The apprentice receives on-the-job training in repairing, maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment, systems, and components, and in performing preventive and predictive maintenance. Equipment includes washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers. Training also covers the proper operation of industrial wastewater treatment systems and wash alley equipment. The role includes indoor and outdoor housekeeping and requires adherence to Cintas health and safety policies and procedures while learning all duties. The position is intended to prepare the individual to compete for advancement upon completion of the program.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English.
• General knowledge and skills demonstrating a good mechanical background.
• Ability to stand for up to 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.
• Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Maintenance knowledge supported by sufficient formal or informal training to perform the duties.
• Any combination of general maintenance, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, automotive maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical, or military experience.
• Experience with formalized safety programs, such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space, OSHA Awareness, technical school courses, or Ladder Safety.
