Maintenance and Landscaping Technician - Full Time
About The Position
The Facilities Group Hawaii (TFG HI) is a combination of two local companies that has provided facilities maintenance services to leading businesses in Hawaii for over 50 years. We provide comprehensive commercial building maintenance and cleaning services, including daily janitorial, carpet cleaning, floor stripping and coating, pressure washing, sanitizing, and building maintenance and repairs. The Maintenance and Landscaping Technician for TFG-HI will be able to perform a variety of maintenance tasks including drywall patching and repair, painting, weed whacking, lawn mowing, furniture assembly and repair, picture hanging, simple plumbing repairs, light bulb replacement, asphalt and concrete repair, and other similar tasks. The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously and responsibly by observing company procedures and safety guidelines. The Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional who is self-motivated with a practical mind, sharp attention to detail, and high standards for customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Must be able to work safely, efficiently, and follow specific directions.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Self-starter with strong prioritization and time management skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Must be able to comfortably lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work outdoors, stand on ladder, push, pull, reach, stoop, stretch, and bend frequently for long periods of time (up to 4 – 8 hours).
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have some relevant maintenance, landscaping, and/or construction experience.
Nice To Haves
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are highly preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including drywall patching and repair, painting, weed whacking, lawn mowing, furniture assembly and repair, picture hanging, simple plumbing repairs, light bulb replacement, asphalt and concrete repair, and other similar tasks.
- Work autonomously and responsibly by observing company procedures and safety guidelines.

- Be flexible and willing to learn and adopt specific TFG-HI processes.
