About The Position

This role involves overseeing equipment modifications for process changes, new models, and expansions. The technician will troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify automotive manufacturing and test equipment to improve systems uptime and reliability. Additionally, the role requires maintaining and updating all process documentation and demonstrating knowledge and ability to employ safe work practices. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 2 years of experience in automation/PLC controls, mechanical and electronic systems OR High school diploma/GED and 2 years technical experience PLUS 2 years of experience in automation/PLC controls, mechanical, and electronic systems (4 years total experience).
  • Must be a highly flexible individual that can adjust to changes quickly.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams.
  • Successful candidates must pass a hands-on electrical troubleshooting proficiency test working with live current.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience interfacing with various PLC programming languages, Siemens highly preferred.
  • Experience maintaining and modifying electrical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems, 24v to 480v.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated robotics systems.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting pneumatic systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and replacing Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Experience interpreting technical schematics: ladder logic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, fluid, etc.
