Requirements

  • Minimum completion of Grade 12 diploma, post-secondary education preferred
  • Minimum two years’ experience in an administrative function
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows and detailed knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems
  • Able to operate with minimal supervision
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Complete ongoing scheduled and unscheduled administrative work for the Maintenance department
  • Complete Maintenance data entry for Preventative Maintenance, work orders, reports, equipment issues, and other documentation
  • Assist with documentation, assignment of work requests, and resource scheduling for the Maintenance department including weekends tasks
  • Maintain and update computerized Maintenance Management system
  • Record and measure department performance and prepare appropriate documentation for operating reviews
  • Update Maintenance performance charts/boards
  • Act as document control champion for the department
  • Assist in the management of training requirements and schedules
  • Assist in the capital projects and capital submission MRO process
  • Assist in the management of accounting documentation and accruals for departments.
  • Develop presentations for departmental initiatives.
  • Assist the department and Maintenance Manager with daily documentation and operational activities.
  • Complete additional projects as directed by the department manager
  • Manage Whosonlocation system to onboard Contractors, when required
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace
  • Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior
  • Adhere to applicable quality systems and IATF-16949 standards
  • Adhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Plastcoat Employee Handbook
  • Comply with the requirements of CTPAT/PIP
  • Conduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of Conduct
  • Participate in and support Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards
  • Ensure work area is kept neat and organized
  • Perform other duties as required
