About The Position

San Diego Mission Bay Resort is seeking a Maintenance I / Painter to join their Mission Bay Family. As a Maintenance 1/ Painter, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the resort are maintained to the highest appearance and working condition. This includes maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure they are presentable and in good working order.

Requirements

Previous professional painting & maintenance experience with knowledge of multiple different maintenance specialties.
Minimum of 3 years painting and wallpaper background, including Tile and Drywall knowledge.
Knowledge and experience in installing and preparing drywall and plaster surfaces.
Full availability for any morning, afternoon, evening and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

Paint, maintain and repair painted, wall-covered, stained and varnished surfaces of building structures, rooms, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel and facilities.
Complete daily job assignments and work orders in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain a fast-paced position that will involve prioritization and moving from assignment to assignment as the need presents itself.
Reply to all Guest maintenance requests in a timely, professional and friendly manner.
Keep maintenance supplies cataloged, stocked, and orderly.
Assist other maintenance Team Members with special projects as needed and assigned.
Maintain an organized and clean work area.
Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, guest rooms, public areas or equipment as assigned.
