About The Position

This position is based full-time at the Shelbyville, IN manufacturing facility, with regular presence required on the production floor across all shifts, including periodic off-shift, weekend, and holiday coverage to support a 24/7 operation. The plant environment includes exposure to manufacturing conditions typical of automotive glass processing, including heat (tempering/furnace areas), noise, glass handling, forklift and overhead crane traffic, and use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves, steel-toed footwear) in designated areas. The role requires the physical ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility for extended periods, climb stairs/platforms, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Requirements

  • Technical education and/or significant electro-mechanical maintenance experience required on Industrial Facilities equipment (CNC equipment, Robots, Servo systems, hydraulic and power transmission, Instrumentation devices, Electrical Distribution components)
  • Ability to pass an accredited Industrial Maintenance Exam (Written and Hands-On)
  • Professional behavior, communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work Safely and Proficiently with minimal supervision required
  • Ability to read blueprints for specific disciplines is required
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair process and production equipment breakdowns required
  • Demonstrated Mechanical systems troubleshooting skills and experience
  • Demonstrated electrical control system troubleshooting skills and experience
  • Ability to exhibit an extreme sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated ability to satisfy requirements of the ‘Functional Job Description’

Nice To Haves

  • AS Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field

Responsibilities

  • Following the necessary Safety, Health and Environmental guidelines required during the execution of activities
  • Engage in the repair of all process, production, and facility equipment as required
  • Ensure equipment failures are resolved in timely order
  • Document daily activities in the maintenance CMMS system (eMaint)
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement a 5S standard for the Maintenance Areas (Personal Area, Shop, Drill repair, etc.)
  • Communicate with all positions as necessary to successfully complete assigned projects and ensure the Plant equipment & facilities are in proper working order
  • Generate information to secure the necessary parts to complete projects and repairs
  • Participate in PM events in all areas as necessary
  • Monitor all emergency break down calls and call for technical assistance as needed
  • Provide training and direction to new employees in order to achieve business needs
  • All other duties as assigned
