Mainline Auto Service Technician - Porsche Fremont
About The Position
AutoNation is hiring an experienced Automotive Service Technician for Porsche Fremont in Fremont, California. The technician performs vehicle repairs and maintenance assigned on repair orders, following dealership and factory standards. The role calls for careful, efficient work, timely completion of repairs, and customer-focused service that builds trust and loyalty in AutoNation as a provider of vehicle safety and reliability. The position pays $36.50 to $53.00 per flat-rate hour, combining hourly and bonus pay. The technician works in a busy, temperature-controlled shop alongside experienced service technicians and advisors. The role involves regular interaction with customers and colleagues in Service, Parts, Cashiering, Sales, and Management. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid in-state driver’s license.
- Maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow processes that ensure quality and safety.
- Passion for cars and customer service.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as an express or quick-lube technician is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs listed on repair orders efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
- Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
- Keep up to date with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training as appropriate.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience to build customer loyalty.
- Meet targeted production and Customer Satisfaction Index goals.
