About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer with 10+ years of experience supporting and enhancing mission-critical mainframe applications. This role is responsible for maintaining legacy systems, ensuring production stability, managing batch processes, supporting enterprise data integrations, and leading data migration efforts to a modern platform. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with large-scale enterprise applications, and a solid understanding of operational reporting and system integrations.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in application development and support within mainframe or legacy enterprise environments.
Strong experience with batch processing, production support, system troubleshooting, and data integrations.
Experience developing and supporting operational and regulatory reporting.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues in mission-critical environments.
Experience supporting highly available enterprise systems with strict operational requirements.
Knowledge of large-scale data migration and legacy system modernization projects.

Nice To Haves

Experience in transportation, logistics, workforce management, or other operational industries.
Familiarity with enterprise applications such as Kronos, PeopleSoft, or similar HR/Payroll systems.
Understanding of regulatory reporting and compliance-driven business processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain, support, and enhance mission-critical mainframe applications and legacy enterprise systems.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to batch jobs, interfaces, and production workflows.
Support daily operational activities, including data validation and application maintenance.
Manage data integrations with enterprise applications such as payroll, HR, and reporting systems.
Develop, modify, and maintain operational, business, and regulatory reports.
Design and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems to modern platforms.
Validate migrated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and business readiness.
Perform routine system maintenance, performance tuning, and production support.
Document system processes, workflows, and integrations while providing knowledge transfer to team members.
Collaborate with cross-functional business and IT teams to support modernization initiatives.
