About The Position
Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Mainframe/Systematics Developer for an immediate 06+ month contract opportunity with long-term potential. The position is remote in the U.S. The developer will provide technical analysis and support for COBOL/CICS and Systematics RM/GN changes, review and document changes, prepare implementation materials, investigate issues, update technical documentation, and communicate status and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with COBOL, CICS, and Systematics RM/GN.
- Strong technical analysis skills.
- Experience in documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical analysis for assigned COBOL/CICS and Systematics RM/GN changes.
- Review program or job-control changes and document test evidence.
- Prepare implementation and backout notes for changes.
- Record investigation findings and resolutions for online, batch, RM, or GN issues.
- Update relevant technical documentation and link outputs to assigned work items.
- Provide status updates and knowledge transfer, addressing review comments as necessary.
