About The Position
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Operator to join our IT Operations team. This is a 100% onsite position with no remote option.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Microsoft Teams experience required.
- Hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe.
- Experience with WhatsUp Gold, Pingdom, and/or PRTG.
- Strong communication and incident management skills.
- Must be available for day, afternoon, midnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Onsite position – no work from home.
Nice To Haves
- Strong background in Mainframe Operations, NOC, IT Operations, or Production Support.
Responsibilities
- Monitor IBM Mainframe systems, infrastructure, and services.
- Handle Level 1 incidents, create and escalate tickets, and track issues to resolution.
- Use monitoring tools such as WhatsUp Gold, Pingdom, and PRTG.
- Monitor mainframe control consoles and system performance.
- Support basic JCL review/validation.
- Coordinate with IT teams, customers, and vendors during critical incidents.
