Requirements

Responsible for the administration, maintenance, performance tuning, security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery support of Model 204 (M204) databases in IBM z/OS mainframe environments.
Supports database design, capacity planning, change management, problem resolution, and production operations while ensuring database availability, integrity, and performance.
Collaborates with application, infrastructure, and security teams to implement database enhancements, manage access controls, and support mission-critical business applications.
Experience with M204 utilities and tools such as FAST/REORG, SOFTSPY, SIRSCAN, Horizon, MQ/204.

Nice To Haves

M204 version upgrades and maintenance.
RACF-based security integration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Be ready to recover: Develop strong backup and recovery plans to ensure that our system is always protected in the event of a failure.
Support solutions: Use technical acumen to support end users and application developers in solving complex problems related to our database systems.
