About The Position

The Main Plant Forklift Operator unloads and loads trucks safely and promptly, consolidates and stores products according to FIFO methods, documents and verifies lot codes during processes, and reworks damaged product. The role is full-time on a 12-hour day shift from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., following a rotating 2-2-3 schedule and working 15 days per month. A forklift certification is required.

Requirements

• Forklift certification is required.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Ability to frequently sit, talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Responsibilities

• Drive a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Pay attention to lot codes, item numbers, and product descriptions.
• Rotate stock accurately.
• Document damage and discrepancies on bills of lading and transfer sheets.
• Count products.
• Rework damaged products.
• Keep equipment and the warehouse floor clean.
• Perform quality assurance checks on products.
• Unload and load trucks safely and promptly.
• Consolidate and store products according to FIFO methods.
• Document and verify lot codes during processes.
