Main Banker
About The Position
The Main Banker oversees the financial operations of the casino’s main bank. The role involves managing funds, processing transactions such as currency exchanges and check cashing, and complying with gaming regulations. The Main Banker also accurately enters markers, fills, and credit slips into the computer system. The position focuses on providing exceptional guest service while accurately processing guest and company funds alongside other cage personnel. The Main Banker manages transactions and paperwork in accordance with gaming regulations, laws, and company policies; issues receipts; exchanges chips; cashes checks; and processes markers. Other duties include overseeing and verifying cash intake in count room areas, preparing and balancing NRT machines and replenishing them with currency and tickets, performing cashiering duties, auditing fill traffic documentation, managing guest credit information, maintaining the bank balance, safeguarding cage assets, processing deposits, assisting with training, responding to guest inquiries, and providing promotional advice. Additional duties may be assigned to support efficient casino operations.
Requirements
- At least one year of cash-handling experience in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to handle high-volume and stressful situations.
- Basic math skills and knowledge of currency.
- Excellent guest-service communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Docs.
- Computer and typing skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licenses and/or certifications required by local gaming regulations.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Bilingual ability is a plus.
Responsibilities

- Safeguard cage assets and process deposits.
- Assist with training, address guest inquiries, and provide promotional advice.
- Perform other assigned duties to support efficient casino operations.
