About The Position

This is a Contract position based out of Brooklyn, NY. The role involves accurately receiving, labeling, sorting, and organizing incoming mail and documentation. The Mailroom Clerk will verify documentation for completeness and accuracy, maintain logs and records, perform filing, scanning, and document organization, and support inbound document processing and outbound mailing production. The position requires distribution of mail to appropriate departments or employees to ensure timely delivery and adherence to established procedures for labeling, sorting, and quality control. The role also involves contributing to overall team productivity by assisting with related administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule (40+ hours/week)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle repetitive, process-driven tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic data entry and clerical experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately receive, label, sort, and organize incoming mail and documentation

  • Maintain logs and records of mail receipt, processing dates, and outgoing correspondence
  • Perform filing, scanning, and document organization in accordance with workflow guidelines

  • Follow established procedures for labeling, sorting, and quality control
