About The Position

Under the direction of the Claims Supervisor, this position is responsible to prepare and distribute all incoming/outgoing mail for the Claims Department. Position requires driving daily to main campus to pick up mail from mailroom. Responsible for date stamping all incoming mail, to include faxes. Responsible for distribution of all correspondence to appropriate claims staff. Responsible for accurately scanning all claims to third party vendor for data entry. The Claims Mailroom Clerk will interact with other departments, clinic personnel, and outside providers in a professional and friendly manner, to create and maintain a positive relationship with our internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of mailroom required.
  • Valid CA Driver's License and current vehicle insurance and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence to appropriate claims staff for processing.
  • Daily scanning of claims to third party vendor for data entry.
  • Responsible for picking up claims department mail from main campus mailroom.
  • Cultural and Linguistics training required annually.
