About The Position

The Mail Carrier Driver positions are the operating positions of Mail Services and provide the university with all mail and package distribution, tracking and processing tasks. The department provides all bulk mail functions, standard and first class, within the university.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Current driver’s license with clean driving record and unrestricted license
• Basic level of knowledge with Microsoft Office
• Experience with using organization-wide package tracking programs
• Capable of entering and operating vehicles with ease.
• Climb stairs for access to buildings without elevators.
• Position requires ability to lift/carry up stairs, boxes and bags of packages/mail that are 70+ pounds

Nice To Haves

• Have the ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing situations
• Ability to adjust, make minor repairs and effectively operate all Mail Services equipment
• Previous bulk mail work experience is preferred
• Delivery driving experience with a large company or college/university is preferred
• Previous USPS training, vendor training or mail certification is preferred.
