About The Position
The Mail Operations Pharmacist 2 (VSP/PT) is a registered Pharmacist responsible for the accurate and timely dispensing of prescribed medication to patients. This role involves varied work assignments that frequently require interpretation and independent determination of appropriate courses of action. The Mail Operations Pharmacist 2 (VSP/PT) ensures adherence to quality assurance standards, accurate tracking techniques, and a review process prior to shipping medications to patients. This position requires understanding department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. The role involves making decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, requiring minimal direction and receiving guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelors of Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Licensed as a PHARMACIST in state(s) of practice
- Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
- Self-directed, but also able to work well in a group
- Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving
- Work ethic that is focused, accurate, and highly productive
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient with computers
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Nice To Haves
- 3 or more years experience in a high volume community or mail order pharmacy practice environment
