About The Position

The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking a motivated, solutions-driven leader to supervise its Mail & Delivery Unit. This team is responsible for handling federal mail, secure document delivery, shipping/receiving, route coordination, and customer support for numerous state agencies throughout the Willamette Valley. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by leading people, improving operations, and serving a broad customer base.

Requirements

  • Four years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience must include coordinating high volume operational, logistics, mail service, warehouse, delivery, or similar service environments.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the state where the employee resides.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee route coordination, equipment upkeep, vehicle management, and operational performance metrics.
  • Plan, assign, and adjust daily workflows to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate the team while fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
  • Build strong working relationships with customer agencies and respond to service needs with professionalism and clarity.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and audit requirements for handling confidential and secure materials.
  • Manage quality control, billing, and program reporting processes.
  • Coordinate budgeting, procurement, and inventory management.
