About The Position

As a Temporary Mail Clerk, you would assist in facilitating the election process by using the mail-opening machinery to ensure all mail is opened, moved, and processed. Temporary Election Workers who meet eligibility requirements can earn a $1,250 One-Time Retention Incentive. Don’t miss your opportunity to qualify!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be a registered voter or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona by time of hire
  • Must pass an applicable background screening
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years of postal experience
  • One or more years of warehouse experience
  • One or more years of election experience
  • One or more years of customer service experience

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing electronic mail opening machinery to open ballots in bulk prior to pre-tabulation ballot processing
  • Pushing and pulling baker racks weighing up to 150 pounds and postal cages weighing up to 250 pounds around the mail room, pre-tabulation processing staging area, or secured ballot vault.
  • Assisting with end-of-day clean-up and mail room organization
