Under general supervision, this role is responsible for delivering, picking up, and sorting mail for 80 Maiden Lane. The position also involves distributing office supplies from the Mailroom to staff at 80 Maiden Lane. The Mail Clerk - Messenger will coordinate daily activities of the Mailroom and support staff, as well as messenger pick-up and delivery. This role serves as a liaison between the agency and courier service providers for delivery-related issues and coordinates the transportation of all records from Maiden Lane to the Bronx Records Retention Center. Additionally, the position oversees the maintenance of non-computer related equipment at Maiden Lane, including contacting vendors for service calls, ensuring work is performed, equipment is functional, and repair logs are maintained. It also oversees in-house maintenance for designated household duties at Maiden Lane, such as bulb replacement and scheduling carpet cleaning and furniture movement. The role manages the Stockroom and supplies at Maiden Lane, including managing an inventory database, conducting periodic reviews of inventory supplies, and recommending stock replenishment. The Mail Clerk - Messenger opens, sorts, distributes, and picks up mail for staff at 80 Maiden Lane, and picks up and delivers mail in Manhattan for staff at the same location. The position also sets up conference rooms for meetings by moving tables and setting up chairs, runs the Mailroom at 80 Maiden Lane, and distributes office supplies to staff. Ensures outgoing mail has proper postage and performs numerous administrative support functions such as filing, photocopying, and distribution of memos. Provides facility support and office equipment maintenance for 80 Maiden Lane and maintains stockroom inventory and distribution at two locations. Performs other related duties as requested.
