About The Position
The Magnetic Resonance Tech performs magnetic resonance imaging studies and helps ensure accurate, high-quality diagnostic images. The role supports patients, radiologists, and healthcare teams by preparing and positioning patients, setting imaging parameters, and processing images. The work provides critical diagnostic information that contributes directly to patient care. The position is with Henry Ford Health at Providence Hospitals, serving communities across Oakland County.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS).
- Must maintain required hours of continuing education.
Nice To Haves
- Current certification with ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI).
- Two years of experience in radiography.
Responsibilities
- Perform magnetic resonance imaging studies using MRI devices.
- Prepare patients and position them for imaging procedures.
- Set imaging parameters and perform computer processing to display images.
- Assist in developing protocols for patient studies.
- Conduct quality control procedures on MRI equipment.
