About The Position

The Magnetic Resonance Tech works in the Radiology department at Henry Ford Health’s Providence Hospitals, serving communities across Oakland County. The role performs magnetic resonance imaging studies and supports accurate, high-quality diagnostic imaging. The technologist prepares and positions patients, sets imaging parameters, processes images using specialized software, assists with protocol development, and conducts quality control procedures on MRI equipment. The work supports healthcare providers in developing precise diagnoses and treatment plans.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS).
• Maintain required hours of continuing education.
• If a registered Radiographer (ARRT)(R), Sonographer (ARDMS), or Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT)(NM) or (NMTCB), obtain MRI board certification (ARRT)(MR) within 12 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Current certification with ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI).
• Two years of experience in Radiography.
