About The Position

Coilcraft, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level CNC Machinist to join their manufacturing team in Cary, Illinois. This role is ideal for individuals with 1-2 years of machining experience or recent trade school/apprenticeship experience who are looking to develop their skills. The company is a global manufacturer with a 75+ year history, producing magnetic components for various industries. The position involves operating CNC mills and/or lathes, interpreting blueprints, inspecting parts, making machine adjustments, monitoring quality, maintaining records, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with other teams while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
1–2 years of CNC machining experience preferred (trade school/apprenticeship accepted)
Ability to read blueprints
Experience with precision measuring tools
Strong mechanical aptitude
Attention to detail and strong work ethic
U.S. citizens or permanent residents (due to ITAR regulations)

Nice To Haves

Experience with CNC mills or lathes
Basic G-Code knowledge
Machine setup and tool offset experience
Precision manufacturing experience
Lean Manufacturing knowledge

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment
Make basic tool offsets and machine adjustments
Monitor machine performance and part quality
Maintain production and inspection records
Perform routine machine maintenance
Work with engineering, quality, and production teams
Follow company safety and quality standards
