About The Position

We are looking for experienced CNC Mill and/or Lathe Machinists who can set up and run their own jobs. This is a high-mix, low-volume job shop, so you won't spend every day running the same part. Most jobs involve small quantities and a variety of parts, setups, materials, and machining challenges. Skilled machinists are trusted to do their jobs. If you know how to set up, troubleshoot, and make good parts, you'll have the opportunity to work independently and take ownership of your work. Work with a skilled team in a well-maintained machining environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience
• Strong CNC mill and/or lathe setup experience
• The ability to set up and run jobs independently
• Experience making program edits at the machine
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills
• Experience using inspection tools to verify your work
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a job shop or high-mix environment

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes
• Selecting tooling and setting offsets
• Proving out programs and making edits at the machine
• Reading blueprints and GD&T
• Inspecting your own parts and holding tight tolerances
• Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues
• Making adjustments to improve quality and cycle times
• Working independently and taking ownership of your jobs

Benefits

• Work Tuesday through Thursday and have Friday through Monday off every week.
• 36 hours worked, 40 hours paid.
• Overtime paid for hours worked beyond your regular 36-hour schedule.
• Receive an additional $3.00/hour shift premium for 2nd shift.
