About The Position

We are looking for experienced CNC Mill and/or Lathe Machinists who can set up and run their own jobs. This is a high-mix, low-volume job shop, so you won't spend every day running the same part. Most jobs involve small quantities and a variety of parts, setups, materials, and machining challenges. The schedule offers a 3-day workweek (Tuesday-Thursday, 12-hour shifts) with 36 hours worked and paid for 40 hours, plus a $3.00/hour 2nd shift premium. Overtime is paid for hours worked beyond the regular 36-hour schedule.

Requirements

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience
• Strong CNC mill and/or lathe setup experience
• The ability to set up and run jobs independently
• Experience making program edits at the machine
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills
• Experience using inspection tools to verify your work
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a job shop or high-mix environment

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes
• Selecting tooling and setting offsets
• Proving out programs and making edits at the machine
• Reading blueprints and GD&T
• Inspecting your own parts and holding tight tolerances
• Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues
• Making adjustments to improve quality and cycle times
• Working independently and taking ownership of your jobs
