About The Position

Pioneer Human Services is hiring a Machinist to support its mission of empowering justice-involved individuals. The role sets up, operates, or tends milling machines and lathes to mill, shape, groove, turn, or profile metal workpieces. It involves performing complex sequences of machining operations on varied work to close tolerances, reading blueprints and customer specifications, programming machines, and training lower-grade employees. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and typically starts at $30.33–$37.91 per hour, depending on relevant factors. The role is safety-sensitive and subject to pre-employment and employment drug testing, including marijuana testing.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications.
Experience working with tight tolerances.
Ability to use critical thinking to understand complicated manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of appropriate cutting tools for metals including aluminum, Inconel, titanium, and phenolic.
1–2 years of experience as a CNC Mills Machinist.

Nice To Haves

Multi Access Machine experience.
Lathe operator experience.
