About The Position

Pioneer Human Services is hiring a Machinist for a weekend schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 4:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The Machinist sets up, operates, or tends milling machines and lathes to shape, groove, turn, or profile metal workpieces. The work involves complex, progressive machining operations on varied work to close tolerances. The Machinist reads blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to meet customer specifications, performs machine programming, and trains lower-grade employees. The organization says it has served clients for over 60 years and operates more than 35 locations across Washington state.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications.
Experience with tight tolerances.
Ability to use critical thinking to work through complicated manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of proper cutting tools for various metals, including aluminum, Inconel, titanium, and phenolic.
1–2 years of experience as a CNC Mills Machinist.

Nice To Haves

Multi-access machine experience.
Lathe operator experience.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, or tend milling machines or lathes to mill, shape, groove, turn, or profile metal workpieces.
Perform complex series of progressive machining operations on diversified work to close tolerances.
Read blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to ensure customer specifications are met.
Perform machine programming.
Train lower-grade employees.
