About The Position

This role involves operating, setting up, programming, and troubleshooting various types of machinery, including CNC and manual mills and lathes. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, precise measurement skills, and the ability to read blueprints and technical specifications. Requirements

Basic blueprint reading.
Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
Forklift experience.
Ability to follow setup instructions.
Proficient with CNC controllers.
Ability to handle moderate-complexity setups.
Advanced CAD/CAM software proficiency.
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) expertise.
Complex manual/CNC machining.
Expert-level knowledge of CNC machining.
Advanced fixture design.
Adherence to safety protocols.
Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications.
Experience with mills, lathes, grinders, and/or CNC machines.

Nice To Haves

Certificate/technical training advantageous for Machinist 1.
Journeyperson qualification or equivalent for Machinist 4.

Responsibilities

Operate and tend machines (CNC or manual).
Load and unload parts.
Perform basic measurements using precision instruments.
Maintain shop cleanliness.
Perform machine setups (CNC mills/lathes).
Make minor programming adjustments.
Conduct first-article inspections.
Perform independent setup and programming using CAM software/Mastercam from blueprints.
Create and design fixtures/tooling.
Handle complex materials.
Develop new procedures for complex, high-tolerance parts.
Optimize production rates and reduce scrap.
Mentor junior machinists.
Assist with CAM programming.
Run multiple machines simultaneously.
Perform root-cause analysis of manufacturing issues.
