About The Position
FM Industries is a manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build-to-print precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings, supporting customers from prototype through production. As a CNC Horizontal Machinist II, you will set up and run repeat or proven parts ranging from simple to highly complex, with minimal direction from an area Lead or Supervisor. The position is on the day shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Machine Tool Technology program preferred.
- Enrollment in vocational education or completion of a four-year formal apprenticeship preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up and run repeat or proven parts of simple to high complexity with minimal direction.
- Upload and download tool programs using DNC communications.
- Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to operators and lower-level machinists as required.
- Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders.
- Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistical process control charts.
