About The Position

A Machinist will be responsible for general machining of parts for material handling equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is CNC machining; other duties may include manual machining (tapping, countersink, lathe, mill), material movement, as well as general maintenance of machinery and adhering to required tolerances/dimensions for each customized part.

Requirements

Minimum education required is High School/GED/Trade School
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop machined parts from these specifications
Relevant machining experience including CNC mill/lathe
Experienced with typical machine shop tools and equipment (horizontal saw, vertical saw, deburr, grinder, drill, forklift)
Positive attitude, able to handle tense situations that arise
Ability to operate heavy duty equipment in a safe manner
Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. on a repetitive basis

Works from solid models and engineering drawings to produce parts
Ability to program, set up, fixture, and operate CNC mill/lathe and other manual equipment
Repair and maintain production equipment and facilities as required
Produce high quality parts with low rejection rate
Keep work space in a neat and safe organized manner
Show mutual respect for coworkers
Work well with other Custom Automation team members as needed
Highly motivated self-starter
Ability to train others in safe machine operation
