About The Position

Marathon Electric, now part of WEG Group, is seeking a skilled Machinist for its Wausau, WI location. This role is integral to a team environment where safety and quality are paramount. The Machinist will be responsible for interpreting part drawings, routing, and machining each part accordingly, identifying necessary gauging inspections, and calling up the correct CNC programs. The position requires a strong understanding of machining practices, the use of measuring devices, tooling, fixturing, and computer-based quality control systems. Requirements

Prior CNC machining experience
Understand machining practices and the proper use of measuring devices including tooling and fixturing, machine set-up knowledge, and ability to use gages to check work
Must be competent in use of small hand tools and standard measuring instruments including by not limited to micrometers, dial indicators, pin/plug gauges, etc.
Required to learn and use computer-based Quality Control and production systems
Must be able to read and understand process related documentation.
Work in a safe manner observing safety practices
Must be team oriented
