Machinist
About The Position
The Machinist performs maintenance, installation, and repair activities for Plant Operations. The role repairs mechanical equipment, remote auxiliaries, building HVAC equipment, pumps, and other assigned mechanical equipment. It also includes scheduled equipment evaluations, preventive maintenance, and repairs, as well as maintaining above- and below-ground steam and chilled water lines. This is an Essential Personnel position. The incumbent may be required to report for duty and work through emergencies, and a supervisor may designate the incumbent as essential to accomplish work or complete a critical task.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of equipment repair and preventive maintenance experience.
- Valid and unrestricted U.S. driver's license, excluding restrictions for corrective lenses, and ability to meet Tulane University Motor Vehicle Policy criteria for driver authorization.
