About The Position

Manufacture and repair aircraft parts using CNC and conventional milling machines, lathes, and other standard machine shop equipment, working from engineering drawings. Draw and program parts using CAD/CAM software. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a certified machine trades program.
• Effectively speak, read, and write in English.
• Three years of experience setting up and operating CNC vertical mills, with basic programming skills and experience performing manual machining.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to inspect parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to operate CAD/CAM software.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Mastercam® CAD/CAM software.
• Experience with FARO® CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
• Experience with Polyworks® 3D Metrology software.
• Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application, such as Six Sigma or Lean Principles.
