About The Position
Kinperium-Hiniker LLC (Hiniker) is a Minnesota based manufacturer with roots in the agricultural equipment industry since 1970. They are known for sturdy cultivators, efficient shredders, and niche equipment. In 1995, Hiniker expanded into designing and manufacturing snow removal equipment, which is a trusted tool for many. Hiniker snow and ice equipment is built to enable the operator to work as efficiently as possible with innovative and purpose-built designs. In 2024, they expanded their offerings with the acquisition of Daniels Plows. They are currently seeking a Machinist with strong experience in manufacturing environments. This position is located in Mankato, MN.
Requirements
- Proficiency in reading, using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers and indicators.
- Proficiency operating toolroom equipment.
- Skilled in CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to work with tight tolerances.
- Capable of trouble-shooting tooling and fixturing issues.
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- 3-5 years tool and die making experience.
- Strong mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks.
Nice To Haves
- Technical Trade School or Associated Degree in Machine Tool Technology.
Responsibilities
- Create precision tools to aid in the company’s manufacturing processes.
- Grinding, turning, and milling material to create the required parts and jigs.
- Assist in the design of the parts and jigs in CAD software and/or interpret blueprints from the organization’s product designers.
- Troubleshoot production issues, drive root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively across all departments and platforms.
- Program CNC and manually operated toolroom equipment.
- Perform maintenance on your machines.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and follow 5S principles.
