About The Position

MMT is seeking motivated Machinists for their growing Ramsey, NJ facility. This role offers hands-on experience with precision equipment used in medical and advanced industrial manufacturing. MMT designs and builds advanced automation systems, precision machine tools, and engineered manufacturing solutions. This is an opportunity for mechanically inclined, detail-focused individuals to build their skills in a professional precision machine shop.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements)
Ability to read blueprints or willingness to develop the skill
Strong attention to detail
Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude

Nice To Haves

Trade school or vocational machining program
Prior machining experience
Familiarity with CNC operation

Responsibilities

Operate and support manual and CNC equipment to produce precision metal components.
Operate manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills, grinders, and drills.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Set up machines for production runs.
Select appropriate tooling and adjust speeds and feeds.
Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Record production data including quantities, downtime, and scrap.
Perform routine machine maintenance.
Follow all shop safety procedures.
