About The Position

As a 5-Axis CNC Operator, this role involves setting up and operating 5-axis CNC machining centers to produce high-precision components. The operator will run production jobs while maintaining quality, efficiency, and consistency. Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting engineering drawings, models, and GD&T requirements, performing in-process inspections, and troubleshooting machining and setup issues. The role also supports new part introductions (NPI) and process validation, mentors and cross-trains operators, provides real-time guidance on the shop floor, helps standardize processes, and reinforces a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Experience operating 5-axis CNC machining centers
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, and GD&T requirements
Proficiency in performing in-process inspections
Skill in troubleshooting machining and setup issues
Experience with new part introductions (NPI) and process validation
Mentoring and cross-training abilities
Understanding of machining fundamentals
Knowledge of safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles
