TAT Technologies is looking for a qualified Machinist.

Requirements

  • Experience with Haas, Bridgeport, and Okuma CNC Machines.
  • Understanding how to operate older equipment.
  • Knowledge of HAAS and Bridgeport CNC machining.
  • Familiarity with OD/ID surface grinding.
  • Familiarity with manual lathe and manual mill.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 plus years of machining experience and/or equivalent.
  • Ability to interpret and follow repair instructions from OEM manuals (read, write, understand drawings, follow detailed instructions and work alone).
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use an assortment of measuring devices.
  • Ability to machine parts with tolerances as low as .0002”.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good work habits and motivated.
  • Willingness to work in a Drug-free Workplace and undergo random drug-testing.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required by company need.

Nice To Haves

  • FANUC control preferred.
  • Short manual programming a plus.
  • Aviation experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Haas, Bridgeport, and Okuma CNC Machines and older equipment.
  • Perform OD/ID surface grinding.
  • Operate manual lathe and manual mill.
  • Grind chrome and nickel under supervision and a structured training program.
  • Shot peen parts.
  • Become independent in cleaning processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Know and follow equipment safety guidelines.
  • Understand proper handling of metals and cutting/grinding machinery.
  • Perform precise measurement and use of instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in preventive maintenance of equipment in the department per company and equipment manufacturing guidelines.
  • Learn FAA requirements related to inspection and repair.
  • Read and interpret OEM repair manual instructions.
  • Work in and learn lean/six sigma for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Learn how to operate crankshaft grinders and Norton Strut grinder with CNC control.
  • Use Quantum for work orders.
