About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring multiple Machinists in Tempe, AZ for both full-time and part-time weekend positions. This role is in a clean, air-conditioned shop environment. As a Machinist, you will perform machine set-ups on various CNC equipment, operate and oversee multiple machines throughout the shift in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, and work primarily on large mill and lathe projects, typically involving 50 parts or fewer per job. You will utilize and maintain machines such as Bridgeport, DMG MORI, and 3-Axis Mills, support operations involving horizontal mills and lathes, and manage palletized machine systems, including restocking pallets as needed. The goal is to ensure high-quality output and adherence to production standards. This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity.

Requirements

Previous CNC machine setup experience.
Experience with horizontal mills, lathes, and large format machining.
Strong multitasking ability and comfort overseeing multiple machines.
Currently enrolled in a machining or technical program (for candidates with no prior experience).

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with CMM programming or PC-DMIS (highly beneficial).
