About The Position

FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. We provide customers leading-edge support from prototype to production. This position is for the Day Shift, Monday through Friday, from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The Machinist is responsible for setting up and running repeat or proven parts with simple to high complexity with minimal direction. This includes utilizing shop paper procedures, reading blueprints, setting up and running assigned work, and providing technical assistance to operators and lower-level machinists.

Requirements

Minimum 3 to 5 years’ work experience
Practical knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD & T
Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices
Knowledge of CNC programming and G & M code
Basic to intermediate tool probe
Demonstrated ability at operating computer numerical control machines
Understand 5 axis machining concepts

Responsibilities

Responsible for utilizing shop paper procedure including updates, signatures and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities
Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications
Set-up, and run all facets of work assigned
Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to operators and lower-level machinists as required
