About The Position
FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. We provide customers leading-edge support from prototype to production. This position is for the Day Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The role is responsible for setting up and running the most complex, proven, or new parts with little to no supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School preferred.
- 5-7 years of work-related experience
- Extensive knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD & T
- Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices
- Extensive knowledge of CNC programming and G&M code
- Extensive probe and toll pre-setter knowledge
Responsibilities
- Utilize shop paper procedures, including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling, and non-conformance-related activities
- Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
- Program, set up, and run all facets of work assigned.
- Develop fixtures as needed.
- Assist in creating an accurate set-up book for production.
