About The Position

FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. We provide customers with leading-edge support from prototype to production. This position is for the Day Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The role is responsible for setting up and running the most complex, proven, or new parts with little to no supervision. This includes utilizing shop paper procedures, reading blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications, programming, setting up, and running all facets of assigned work, and developing fixtures as needed. The Machinist will also assist in creating an accurate set-up book for production.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School preferred.
5-7 years of work-related experience.
Extensive knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD & T.
Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices.
Extensive knowledge of CNC programming and G&M code.
Probe and toll pre-setter knowledge.

Responsibilities

Set up and run the most complex, proven, or new parts with little to no supervision.
Utilize shop paper procedures, including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling, and non-conformance-related activities.
Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
Program, set up, and run all facets of work assigned.
Develop fixtures as needed.
Assist in creating an accurate set-up book for production.
