About The Position

RIMEX is the leading custom manufacturer of all off road wheel and rim assemblies. RIMEX’s primary markets include mining, forestry, agriculture and industrial equipment, specializing in haul trucks and loaders. RIMEX also offers a full range of complementary products to match their wheel counterparts. Our continued growth and development has created a need for a Machinist - Vertical Boring Mill in our Saskatoon branch. The position is full time - 40 hours per week, with possible shift work. We offer competitive wages as well as a comprehensive benefit package after the completion of the probationary period.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Red seal certification or working towards certification required
Must have Vertical Boring Mill & Turning experience
Experience in programming CNC machines
Minimum 3 years of experience in a heavy metal manufacturing environment
Experience in precision machining with tight tolerances
Ability to lift 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

Experience using an overhead crane an asset

Responsibilities

Complete set up sheets; documenting new product requirements for approval
Set up the machines properly and ensure that they are working at full capacity
Determine and then run the appropriate program for each job; make adjustments as needed to ensure quality product.
Load and unload the machines with the required products
Check and measure parts
Change the inserts when required
Operate all equipment, including in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
General clean up of working area to help maintain a safe working environment
