Janicki Industries is a private and family-owned business based in Washington State with a Layton, Utah, facility. The Layton Utah facility specializes in machining the largest most complex structures built from carbon fiber composites and aluminum for the aerospace and space exploration markets. The parts produced are installed on todays most advanced fighters, bombers, rockets, and space vehicles. Janicki Industries continues to lead the market with both innovations and abilities alike. Requirements

  • Applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as per ITAR and EAR regulations.
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skill
  • Must have the ability to read, understand and follow work orders, written procedures, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

Nice To Haves

  • Three years (3) of machining/mill experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in composite or fiberglass fabrication and repair is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties and utilizes multiple skillsets to set up, machine & inspect complex machined components in a 5-axis environment.
  • Read & interpret drawings, follow process instructions, and monitor machine controllers.
  • Changing & monitoring cutting tools, part inspection (laser and manual inspection), machine operation, part loading and routine machine maintenance.
  • Support other activities as needed to include but not limited to deburring, part detailing and assembly.
  • Reads and understands blueprints, isometric drawings and work orders
  • Recognize and report machine problems and difficulties
  • Understand of mill gauging procedures
  • Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors and Production Leads
  • Understand and comply with Safety Practices
  • Sets up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction
  • Properly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activities
  • Performs prescribed maintenance on machines and facilities as required
  • Works in other Cells to support Production as required, i.e.; Mold Fab or Assembly Cells
  • Performs on the job training, AS9100, Nadcap training and other training as required
  • Compliance with 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap Standards and Practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
