Janicki Industries is a private and family-owned business based in Washington State with a Layton, Utah, facility. The Layton Utah facility specializes in machining the largest most complex structures built from carbon fiber composites and aluminum for the aerospace and space exploration markets. Requirements
- Applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as per ITAR and EAR regulations.
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skill
- Must have the ability to read, understand and follow work orders, written procedures, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
Nice To Haves
- Three years (3) of machining/mill experience preferred.
- Prior experience in composite or fiberglass fabrication and repair is preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of duties and utilizes multiple skillsets to set up, machine & inspect complex machined components in a 5-axis environment.
- Read & interpret drawings, follow process instructions, and monitor machine controllers.
- Changing & monitoring cutting tools, part inspection (laser and manual inspection), machine operation, part loading and routine machine maintenance.
- Support other activities as needed to include but not limited to deburring, part detailing and assembly.
- Reads and understands blueprints, isometric drawings and work orders
- Recognize and report machine problems and difficulties
- Understand of mill gauging procedures
- Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors and Production Leads
- Understand and comply with Safety Practices
- Sets up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction
- Properly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activities
- Performs prescribed maintenance on machines and facilities as required
- Works in other Cells to support Production as required, i.e.; Mold Fab or Assembly Cells
- Performs on the job training, AS9100, Nadcap training and other training as required
- Compliance with 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap Standards and Practices
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
- Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
