About The Position

The Machinist position in the Trade industry is crucial for ensuring the precision and quality of manufactured components used in various retail applications. This role involves operating and maintaining a variety of machine tools to produce parts that meet strict specifications and tolerances. The Machinist will collaborate closely with engineers and production teams to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, ensuring that all products are manufactured to the highest standards. Additionally, the role requires troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the machining process, thereby minimizing downtime and maintaining production efficiency. Ultimately, the Machinist will play a key role in supporting the overall operational goals of the organization by delivering high-quality components that enhance product offerings in the retail sector. This position is for off shift, the training with be on first shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with CNC and manual machining equipment.
Strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to operate various machine tools effectively.
Attention to detail is essential, as the Machinist must ensure that all parts meet precise specifications.
Problem-solving skills are also critical, as the role involves troubleshooting machining issues and implementing solutions quickly.
Effective communication and collaboration with team members to ensure that production goals are met and quality standards are upheld.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in machining technology or a related field.
Experience in the retail trade industry or similar manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with CAD software and programming CNC machines.
Certification from a recognized machinist program.
Completion of a machinist apprenticeship or equivalent experience in a machining environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Familiarity with CAD software, enhances the Machinist's ability to create and modify designs, improving overall production efficiency.
