This role involves operating machinery to produce quality parts in a timely manner, meeting standards set by Manufacturing Engineering and Quality. The position requires continuous visual concentration and the ability to ensure all generated characteristics conform to applicable inspection techniques. The machinist will perform setup and operation of equipment based on drawings and method sheets, potentially supplementing with their own job knowledge. Minor maintenance on machines may be required, as well as temporary training of other operators on specific equipment. Maintaining an orderly work area and adhering to environmental, health, safety, and quality requirements are essential. Active participation in a team-based environment, including daily meetings, cooperation, professional communication, and openness to diverse opinions, is expected. Accurate timekeeping and electronic record maintenance are also required.
